2nd Day: Exploring Tigné Point

Tigné Point, located in Sliema, Malta, is a vibrant and modern area offering a unique blend of history, luxury, and stunning views. It sits on a peninsula, providing panoramic sights of Valletta’s skyline across the harbor. Originally a military site with the historic Fort Tigné built by the Knights of St. John in the late 18th century, the area has undergone significant redevelopment. Today, it boasts upscale residential complexes, shopping centers like The Point Shopping Mall, and scenic waterfront promenades.

Exploring Tigné Point offers a mix of activities. Visitors can stroll along the promenade, enjoy al fresco dining at waterfront cafes, or browse through high-end shops.

The area is also perfect for photography, with its picturesque views of Valletta, especially during sunset. For those interested in history, Fort Tigné is a notable landmark, although public access may be limited. The surrounding modern architecture contrasts beautifully with Malta’s historic backdrop, making Tigné Point a must-visit destination for both relaxation and sightseeing.
